first direct has introduced fdesign Mobile to its banking app, enabling customers to test new ideas, prototypes and projects, and provide feedback
first direct is giving customers a co-creation platform within its app, enabling them to become directly involved in developing new products and services.
fdesign Mobile means first direct can share updates with ‘fdesigners’ in a continuous two-way conversation; reviewing the feedback they provide, and making decisions based on what they think and feel.
Joe Gordon, head of first direct, said: “fdesign Mobile helps us to put more products and services through their paces, faster, working out niggles and helping us create a truly modern and open banking service that’s right for now and the future.”
Getting customers directly involved in the design of current and future projects through the app is genuine co-creation, and means first direct can continue to shape itself around customer needs.
Customers will be able to register on the homepage in order access the exclusive fdesign mobile area of the iOS app where they’ll help test new ideas, prototypes and projects, and offer direct feedback.
All other first direct customers will continue to use the app securely in the usual way and will not be impacted.
fdesign initially launched in 2016, with first direct working alongside a group of customers to develop improvements to the website firstdirect.com. The success of this will now see first direct gradually open this up to more customers direct from the app.
