What are money types

Synopsis:

Following research of 9,000 UK adults in 2016, and a further 5,000 in 2020 by YouGov, we partnered with Dr Oliver Robinson, Associate Professor at the University of Greenwich, to create suggestions for positive financial action for each of our 6 ‘Money Types’.

Ever wondered why you think about money in the way you do? Why some people make a spreadsheet for all aspects of their financial life? And why others are more than happy to leave financial planning for another day? It’s all down to your financial mindset (or Money Type)…

To help you understand more about what motivates your money decisions, we worked with YouGov* to discover six Money Types. With a complete description of the financial habits that many people might relate to, we then partnered with Psychologist Dr Oliver Robinson, to create suggestions for how you can take positive financial action - encouraging a more considered, proactive money mindset moving forward.
