Sharedealing registration

Our sharedealing and associated investment services are only available to first direct current account customers who are resident in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man and have a UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man postal address.

To apply for an account select the 'investments' tab on firstdirect.com, then select 'first direct shares' and then 'register' to the left of the screen.

You will then need to complete the application on line and submit it. We will then print and post the application to you to check, sign and return. Once we receive the signed application we will process and open the account for you.

The application will be posted to you for checking and signing normally within five working days. Once we receive your signed application back your account will be opened as quickly as practicably possible.

You can hold only one sole investment account but as many joint accounts as you wish provided they are with different parties. You must have an existing first direct joint account with the same party. Only the parties attached to the account can view the joint investment account.

Each account will require a new application completing on line. We are unable to accept any application via secure messaging or telephone.
