To operate Internet Banking Plus you will need a computer, a modem and Internet access. We have made the service as accessible as possible to bring it in line with home PC set-ups now generally in use.

You will require the following:

  • account information and security details for the online accounts you want to include
  • a PC with Windows XP or Vista running Microsoft® Internet Explorer version 6 or above
  • unfortunately you will not be able to access the service using an Apple Mac
  • Internet Explorer must have ActiveX®* enabled. Once you have registered for the service you will need to accept a small download from first direct. This download uses ActiveX® to create your digital safe.

Please note: PCs connected to a Local Area Network are not supported.

The latest version of this software can be downloaded from Microsoft at www.microsoft.com/downloads. Any installation difficulties should be referred to Microsoft in the first instance.
