interest free £250 overdraft

You will get an automatic £500 formal overdraft at account opening. The first £250 of your overdraft is interest free. An arrangement fee may apply if you request an overdraft more than once every 6 months. Overdrafts above £250 will be charged at 12.9% EAR variable. We make it easy to take advantage of our great savings rates. Once a month (whichever date you prefer) we can automatically sweep up any money you haven't spent into one of a selection of our savings accounts. That way, you'll be much better off.

In seconds you can be online viewing your account on screen from the comfort of your chair, with much greater access and flexibility in managing your money. You can also choose to view your account statements online and save paper.

ATM transactions

You can use your first direct debit card to withdraw up to £500 a day free of ATM charges from us at more than 55,000 HSBC/LINK cash machines in the UK. Some LINK members may apply a direct charge and this will be advised on screen at the time of withdrawal. We wish we could do something about this, but unfortunately it's out of our hands. You can, if you wish, cancel the transaction and find a free cashpoint instead.
