1. To qualify for entry into the free prize draw to win the Visa VIP package, customers must apply for a first direct Credit Card or gold card between 1 to 31 May and subsequently be accepted for account opening. Offer applies to new credit card customers only. Additional cardholders, customers who have closed a first direct credit card in the last 365 days and customers converting from any existing first direct credit card will not be entered into the free prize draw.

Responsibility cannot be accepted for applications which are lost, damaged, defaced, illegible, incomplete, delayed in the post or by computer failure or malfunction or by any failure or defect in any telephone network. 4. The prize draw winner will be selected from random on Friday 6 June 2008 by first direct. We will make every effort to contact the winner before Friday 13 June 2008 by letter and telephone
5. The winner must confirm acceptance of the prize and supply first direct with the following details by Friday 27 June 2008, for submission to Visa; their full name, e-mail address and contact telephone numbers. Visa will contact the winner by e-mail with a link to a website where they will be required to register by 30 June 2008 their full details and the name of their companion.
6. If the winner does not return required details to first direct by 27 June 2008, they will forfeit their right to the prize and it will be re-allocated to another randomly-selected prize draw winner
7. The winner must be available to travel outbound on 16 August 2008 and return on 21 August 2008. Alternative travel dates will not be possible
8. 9. The prize excludes non-scheduled meals and transportation, pre and post travel in country of departure, hotel incidentals (e.g. phone, minibar, laundry etc.) and any applicable taxes.
10. The winner and their guest, who must both be over 18 years of age at time of travel, will be responsible for ensuring that they have a valid EU passport with a minimum six months validity beyond the return date and have adequate travel insurance.
11. The winner and their guest are responsible for ensuring that they are eligible for, and obtain necessary visas from the Chinese embassy in good time for their travel
12. The promoter reserves the right to alter the contents of the prize due to circumstances outside of its control. All prizes and timings are subject to availability. In the unlikely event that any of the prize should become unavailable, a substitute of a similar nature with equal value will be supplied.
13. The promoter takes no responsibility for loss, damage or injury caused on the trip
